1. Device Warranty

1.1 Hardware Warranty Coverage

• SoftDicom devices include a limited hardware warranty (1-5 years depending on model)
• Warranty covers manufacturing defects, component failures, and hardware malfunctions
• Includes SSD replacement if the storage device fails during warranty period
• Covers internal components only
• NOT covered: USB cable, USB connector, and device case/housing

1.2 Data Exclusions

• Data is NOT covered: Patient data, DICOM files, software configurations, or any stored information
• Data loss scenarios: SSD replacement, device repair, corruption, accidental deletion, or hardware failure
• User responsibility: Regular data backup, export of critical files, and data recovery planning
• No data recovery services: JVS Group does not provide data recovery or restoration services

2. Medical Device Disclaimers

2.1 Regulatory Status

• CE marked medical device (Class I) for hardware device only
• DICOM viewer software is not intended for clinical decision making
• FDA approval pending for hardware device - not yet cleared for US clinical use
• Device intended for healthcare professional use only

3. Performance Claims

3.1 Speed and Performance

• Performance metrics based on internal testing with standard DICOM files
• Actual performance varies based on file size, host computer, and USB connection
• Comparison claims based on internal benchmarks against competing products

3.2 DICOM Compliance

• † DICOM 3.0 compliant. Compatible with all major PACS systems and imaging modalities
• Supports standard DICOM transfer protocols and storage formats
• Compatibility tested with leading PACS vendors and modalities

4. Limitation of Liability

4.1 Excluded Damages

• Data loss, corruption, or recovery costs
• Clinical decision-making or patient care outcomes
• Business interruption or lost revenue
• Consequential, indirect, or punitive damages
